The CEREBRO Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (PLIF) system is designed for use in open or minimally invasive surgery in the lumbar region and is made of radiolucent PEEK material. The implant is designed to be used with a robust and comfortable grasping holder that is smoothed without sharp corners and allows controlled rotation during insertion and positioning. It has tantalum markers that indicate the precise position of the implant. The anterior part of the implant is tapered to facilitate its advancement on the inferior and superior surfaces during implant placement.

The CEREBRO PLIF system has a variety of implants in many different heights, widths, lengths, angles and lordotic configurations to accommodate variations in patients’ anatomy.

The CEREBRO PLIF system has a special tooth design that prevents it from moving after insertion. Having a large area for graft use is another advantage.

In addition to rigid PLIF cages, the CEREBRO PLIF system also offers expandable PLIF cages with a simple but effective mechanism that makes placement easier and provides a more fitting placement in the area. A controlled opening increases the effectiveness of indirect decompression in restoring the disc space. The continuous opening of the cage also optimizes the prevention of cage slippage.
